Individual Grief Mentorship

When you mentor, you actively nurture and care.

Our mentorship appointments are designed for one-on-one meetings where we focus on your grief, supporting your natural ability to heal and find warmth.

This can be weekly or bi-weekly.

For more details, please visit the "Appointments" section in the navigation bar at the top of the website. Thank you.

Where your scars become sacred maps."

TESTIMONIAL:

“I began without a firm understanding of what to expect. I knew I wanted to deepen my awareness of my own grief journey and better understand my reaction to the many losses I had suffered throughout my life including deaths and divorces as well as the loss of friendships and pets. From the start, I found Kim’s coaching to be on point. She quickly assessed where I was at along my grief journey and was easily able to understand my needs. I experienced Kim to be a skilled healer with an intuitive nature. Through our sessions, I found myself able to erase doubts, blockages and guilt and to release trauma while seeing things with a new, more open perspective. I am grateful for my experience working with Kim, tending to my past and providing the tools necessary to help me along the way.”

Death Midwife

As of the time of this writing, I have supported four individuals through their transition and have volunteered within the hospice system. I also have many hours logged in hospital visitation and navigation. These experiences are deeply personal and intimate with my clients. Please reach out if you’d like to discuss how I can support you or your loved ones during this sacred time.

End-Of-Life or Existential Sessions

Goals are steered by the client, but examples are helpful. Some goals of this type of mentorship may include processing death and dying, facilitating rituals regarding death, and/or building a support network to become more ready to face death.

Ancestor Work and White Privilege Healing for Grieving People

I offer deep support, drawing on training with contemporary thought leaders like Daniel Foor and Jon Young. Together, we can address and untangle ancestral ties to colonizing influences and cultivate a balanced, enriching connection with your ancestors. As an important step, we can query your participation in cultural revitalization.

Team and Institutional Grief Mentorship

GOAL: A COMPASSIONATE WORKPLACE / TEAM

Consider the insights from the “Grief Index” study with 25,000 participants:

  • 85% of management-level decision-makers reported that their decision-making quality dropped to “very poor” or “fair” in the weeks or months following a grief event.

  • 90% of those in physical jobs experienced more frequent injuries due to decreased concentration during the same period.

  • 75% of participants felt their ability to perform significantly declined beyond their allotted leave.

  • 50% reported at least 30 days of diminished value to their company, leading to poor decision-making, ineffective supervision, lower sales performance, and increased workplace accidents.

Grief is a universal experience, but workplace cultures often fail to support those dealing with profound loss. If the deceased was a team member or known within your team, you should expect varied individual and group responses to grief. Creating a culture that clearly communicates what to expect and how to feel safe while grieving is crucial for maintaining a healthy team dynamic. Expressive Arts for Grieving People

I offer numerous types of flexible and creative experiences - people who are anxious about not being creative usually thrive in these workshops or one-on-one experiences. I love this part of the work and the doors it opens for people and their grief and mindfulness work!
